DIRECTIONS TO NZULEZO

The village of Nzulezo (or Nzulezu) is located near the village of Beyin, roughly 90 kilometers west of Takoradi, in the Jomoro District of the Western Region of Ghana.

Nzulezo overlooks the Lake Amanzuri, and is entirely made up of stilts and platforms. The village's name "Nzulezo" in Nzema language, means "surface water.

Buy your tickets at the reception centre in Beyin on the mainland. Canoe trips run from 8 am to 5 pm. But those staying in the guesthouse can have their time extended. Boat rides for foreign adults cost GH¢80.00 foreign students GH¢70.00 Ghanaian adults GH¢40 Ghanaian students GH¢30. Motorised canoe fee GH¢100.00. (For 1 to 9 people). For those who would wish to have a detailed history of the place, you are entitled to pay GH¢30 only. For your safety on the lake, you are given a lifejacket.
